Football legend, Pelé, will be in Nigeria for a two-day visit between August 11th and 12th.The visit will focus on youth empowerment and development, involving teenagers, their parents, football officials and the Nigeria Football Federation. This will be the Brazilian’s second visit to Nigeria after his first visit in 1967 when the country was torn apart by the civil war.
Pele helped Brazil win the World Cup in 1958 as a 17-year-old and went on to score 1,281 goals during his career. His visit to Nigeria will see him conduct a sports clinic called ‘Legend Tournament’ and also a Gala Night where he will be hosted alongside some African football legends.
