Kanye West Begs Apple Music and Tidal to End Rivalry, Cut a Check for Jay Z
Time to end the beef. Kanye West begged two of the biggest companies in the music streaming industry, Apple Music and Tidal, to end their rivalry in a new social media rant on Saturday, July 30.
The “Famous” rapper, 39, took to Twitter on Saturday afternoon to tell his 24.6 million followers that the competitors’ “beef is f--king up the music game.” He then called upon Apple CEO Tim Cook, Tidal owner Jay Z, fellow rapper Drake, manager Scooter Braun and Apple Music’s Jimmy Iovine and Larry Jackson to get “on the phone or in a room this week!!!”
“F--k all this d--k swinging contest. We all gon be dead in 100 Years. Let the kids have the music,” West wrote. Moments later, the “Stronger” rapper added, “Apple give Jay his check for Tidal now and stop trying to act like you Steve [Jobs].”
