Mark Zuckerberg Gets Mixed Reactions on Facebook After Sharing Vaccination Photo

Mark Zuckerberg shared a cute photo of himself with daughter Max at a doctor’s office via Facebook on Friday, January 8, and the picture was immediately hit with thousands of comments just minutes after it was shared.
“Time for vaccines!” the 31-year-old Facebook CEO captioned the snapshot, in which he holds tenderly onto little Max, 1 month old. The tiny tot looks warm in a colorful, hooded onesie.

The post gained more than 85,000 likes in under 15 minutes, and garnered a flood of responses — both positive and negative — from Facebook users.
“Thanks for being responsible!” one commenter wrote.
“As someone with autism, with a son with autism, as someone who is constantly watching good people put their own children at serious risk because of old, fraudulent fears of vaccines and autism … thank you for being sensible,” another wrote. “Thank you for doing what’s right and also for showing everyone else that it’s the right thing to do as well.”

Other users weren’t quite so complimentary in their responses, weighing in about the potentially harmful side effects.
“I hope the Zuckerberg’s have taken the time to read the full vaccine inserts (not the watered-down one they give parents, the real one they include with the vaccines…” one commenter wrote.
“Do you honestly think that a beautiful healthy newborn baby needs injections of neurological-toxins to become safe for the public?” another concerned user wrote.

Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, welcomed Max to the world on December 1, and have been happily sharing status updates about their daughter’s progress via social media ever since.
“I hope your 2016 is happy, healthy and productive,” the Zuckerberg captioned a photo of the trio on New Year’s Day. “As the world faces new challenges and opportunities, may we all find the courage to keep making progress and making all our days count.”
