Thousands of South Sudanese facing starvation - Red Cross

The International Committee of the Red Cross says hundreds of thousands of South Sudanese are facing severe food shortage.
Juerg Eglin, who heads the delegation of the ICRC in South Sudan, says the level of hunger in the country is severe with increased medical needs.
Despite the signing of a peace agreement, humanitarian consequences of the two-year conflict remains one of extreme concern.
The country descended into civil war in December 2013 when a row between President Salva Kiir and Machar ended with fighting that often ran along ethnic fault lines between Kiir's Dinka and Machar's Nuer people.
