Nigerian Varsity honours ex-President Obasanjo, others with doctorate degrees


It has been observed that education without character, innovative and entrepreneurship skills is far from what should be called education in the 21st century
Nigeria's former President, Olusegun Obasanjo made this observation during the 6th and 7th Convocation ceremonies of the Tai Solarin
University of Education (TASUED), Ijagun, Ogun State.
Obasanjo who traced the history of the University of education to his era as the president and commander in Chief of the country urged
teachers to always give in their best in building the future leaders.
The visitor to the university, Senator Ibikunle Amosun assured the management of the institution that his government is committed to providing hostels accommodation for students in tertiary institutions across the state.
He also gave automatic employment to 12 first class graduates of the institution.
A total of 5, 970 students were graduated with various degrees, while the institution also honours former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Late
HID Awolowo and Aliko Dangote with Education Doctorates Degrees in political science, business administration and business management
respectively.
